Lead Carpenters / Carpenters

We are searching for intelligent, skilled, experienced, creative craftsmen who are motivated to complete high end remodeling projects. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

• Perform rough and finish carpentry to company’s standard of quality and according to plans and specifications.
• Be able to understand blueprint drawings and written specifications.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work on a consistent basis, including lifting 100 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Cabinet Maker

We are always looking for skilled crafts people to add to our team. Basic woodworking knowledge and skills preferred. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

• Read plans and specifications, make cut-lists, check accuracy, think creatively, and share ideas that are appropriate to the project.
• Set up all machines safely and efficiently. Perform minor repairs and maintenance of machines as needed.
• Build high quality custom cabinetry in a timely fashion. Be familiar with traditional joinery and be able to produce it at a semi-production pace.
• Be attuned to the shop's quality standards and confident to stop a sub-standard piece in production and bring it to the attention of the Shop Foreman.

Project Manager

Position Description: A Platt Builders Project Manager is responsible for managing the financial, administrative and customer-relations success of the projects to which he/she is assigned. Tasks include managing project schedules, job cost, trade coordination, quality control, safety programs, project meetings and efficient project closeout. In addition, the successful candidate will have the skills, drive, and background to be a strong, leading team player.

Requirements:

• Extensive rough and finish carpentry skills and advanced training and knowledge of a broad range of construction methods and techniques.
• Extensive computer experience and aptitude and willingness to learn new programs. Aptitude with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Project.
• Strong communication, job coordination, organizational, leadership and supervisory skills.
• A good understanding of all trades relevant to residential construction.
• The ability to interact and communicate well with the client throughout the job.
• Valid US driver's license and good driving record.

CAD Designer / Draftsman

Position Description: A Platt Builders CAD Designer/Draftsman is expected to provide drafting and design services as needed as well as work with sales department & production department to put together the construction documentation package. The selected candidate will also help build specification books for projects and have an excellent understanding of REVIT.

Requirements include:

• Minimum 5 years drafting experience. Advanced training and knowledge of a broad range of construction methods and techniques.
• Ability to interpret client's/Architects design intent, translate intent into construction drawings.
• Extensive computer experience and aptitude and willingness to learn new programs.
• Strong Communication, job coordination, and organizational skills.
• A good understanding of all trades relevant to residential construction.
• Must dress and appear professionally.
• Able to and willing to teach others.
• Must be available for extended work hours as required.
• Work with Structural engineers and other related professionals for engineering on all projects.
