From Cookie Cutter to Custom

WHOLE HOME REMODELING IN SUDBURY, MA

Designed in collaboration with KT2 Design Group, this large Sudbury home had good bones and a beautiful footprint when the project began. What it lacked was the finish quality to match. This renovation delivered that across multiple rooms, replacing builder-grade work with custom detailing and millwork that the original construction never offered.

The kitchen received a nearly 12-foot island that handles both cooking and gathering, giving the household a surface that works as hard as the room around it. A separate wet bar keeps the main kitchen clear when the household is entertaining, which on a layout this size is a natural division worth planning for. Millwork added to the two-story foyer gives the entry a finished, custom quality that carries through from the front door into the rest of the home. The new primary suite was designed with spa-quality finishes and fixtures selected by KT2 Design Group, bringing a level of comfort to the room that the original bathroom never approached.

Projects like this are common in Sudbury and the surrounding MetroWest communities. Large, well-built homes finished to a builder-grade standard have good bones and real potential. What they need is a design and construction partnership that knows how to bring that out without losing what made the property worth investing in to begin with.

Platt Builders works with homeowners throughout Sudbury and surrounding MetroWest communities including Wayland, Concord, Marlborough, and Framingham on whole home remodeling projects. If your home is ready to move past builder-grade, get in touch.
