Designed in collaboration with Tricia Upton Interiors, this Carlisle primary suite was built around a question worth asking: if kitchens can be open-concept, why can't bathrooms? The answer is this suite, where the bathroom and closet share one open, considered space that makes the most of every square foot available to both functions.
Platt Cabinetry, our in-house millwork team, built custom closet built-ins that give the client the ability to completely customize their storage layout from the ground up. All cabinetry throughout, both in the bathroom and the closet, was done in walnut, which gives the suite a warmth and continuity that carries through the entire space. The walnut finish ties the two areas together visually, so the open-concept layout feels intentional and cohesive rather than simply open.
Tricia Upton Interiors brought the design vision that makes the concept work as confidently as it does. The cabinetry profiles, the material selections, and the way the two functions share the space without competing all reflect a design process where the open-concept premise was committed to early and followed through to every detail.
